What do you do if it rains on the day of your shoot? You bring an umbrella, wear cosy scarves, coats and boots and totally ROCK IT!
This is exactly what Linda and Mark done on their dreamy engagement shoot.
Meeting for their engagement photos at one of my favourite places in Edinburgh, Lauriston Castle Gardens, a really hidden, beautiful gem. I would highly recommend this location for your engagement photos. We braved a pretty dreary, cold, wet day for these photos. Ok this weather sounds rotten but, it was perfect for gorgeous, rainy day photos of the loveliest couple. They made my job so easy being complete naturals and so relaxed in front of the camera.
I love everything about this shoot! If it rains on your engagement shoot.. or maybe even on your wedding day... don't despair. Firstly, there is unfortunately no controlling the weather, and in Scotland that could be four seasons in one day so don't worry about what you can't change. Secondly, use a clear umbrella for your photos, this lets the light through, and on dark dreary days bringing as much light into your photos as possible is so important. Its also a fun prop to use! Lastly, you are going to have beautiful photos come rain or shine. This rainy day engagement shoot is one of my favourites.
Saving the best for last! This I one of my most favourited images right here. I love how relaxed, natural and genuine this is. And look at that rain making it all dreamy and dramatic at the same time!
